That's why I recommend beginners check out some drugstore brands! These brands offer a wide range of products at an affordable price point that won't break the bank. Below are some of my favorite drugstore makeup brands that will help you apply your makeup like a pro for less than $10 per product:
E.l.f. Brand makeup
E.l.f. Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand that’s affordable, with quality products. Their makeup line is extremely varied and can be used for both day and night looks. They have a huge selection of products that are perfect for those who are just starting out with makeup. You can find anything from foundations to eyeshadow palettes with this drugstore brand. Some of my favorite products from e.l.f. are the Putty Bronzers and Blush shades.

If you're looking for a blush that won't break the bank and will give you a look that's both natural and gorgeous, then e.l.f.'s Putty Blush is just the thing. The shades including apricot, a golden peach and a bold red shade, but they all blend together beautifully to create a truly customized effect that suits all skin tones perfectly. The formula is easy to apply and can be used either as blush or highlighter with some shades having subtle shimmering particles.
A little bit goes a long way so even though it costs less than ten dollars (this is why we love drugstore brands), you'll find yourself using this for months. The bronzer has a similar creamy formula that is easy to apply and buildable, and it works for all skin tones. Another noteworthy drugstore makeup brand is L.A. Girl Cosmetics. It's great brand to try out if you're just starting out with makeup or are a bit more experienced looking to customize your palette. It's also cruelty-free and offers a wide range of products, including foundations, concealers, primers and setting spray.
I especially love their Pro.Color Foundation Mixing Pigment which allows adjustments to foundation shades.
L.A. Girl HD Pro.Concealer
This concealer has likely popped up in your TikTok feed, and for good reason. This product has some pretty impressive coverage—and it feels incredibly lightweight on your skin. Plus, it blends like a dream, so you won't have to fight with it to get rid of those pesky spots. NYX Makeup is a great affordable brand and is cruelty free. They have a wide range of products that you can use for your face, body and hair.
